Learn how to build your own guitar!

Welcome to the Billericay Guitar workshop where a team of experienced technicians are ready to repair or re-string your instrument. Offering a range of repairs, from re-frets to solving that electrical buzz, no job is too big or small.

The work shop was initially established to support the String Salon music shop with set-ups, but now the team of Luthiers and technicians help people with instruments ranging from ukuleles to cellos.

Our workshop is in the unique position of being able to offer guitar and ukulele building courses.

The courses run under the direction of Bob Johnson of Legra guitars. A Luthier with extensive experience in all aspects of guitar making and repair. Using a mixture of power and hand tools, this is a build from the raw materials not a kit.

Courses are held on Saturday Mornings from 9.00am to 12:00am

The next course will run for eight weeks in 3 hour sessions and can be paid in two instalments of £199 for the tuition. The materials will cost £120 for the body and neck and basic hardware is £159

The total cost of the course is £677.00.
